102 Dalmatians

Three years has passed since Cruella de Vil has been imprisoned for dog napping.  Dr. Pavlov was able to tame the mad Cruella from a fur maniac to an animal friendly philanthropist.  She was given a parole with the condition that she would pay eight million pounds to all dog homes in the borough of Westminster should she revert back to dog napping.

There is one flaw however on Dr. Pavlov’s method.  The process reverts back whenever she hears Big Ben’s bell.  One time she saw Dipstick and his puppies.  This drove Cruella back to her own personality obsessed with fur and devised a plan to get her ultimate fur coat.  She then sends her thugs Alonzo and Jean-Pierre LePelt to get 102 Dalmatian puppies.

The three villains tricked Kevin Shepherd and set up a scheme where Cruella can use him as an escape goat for the police investigation.  Kevin escapes prison and meets up with Chloe in which they were captured on a later part.  Oddball managed to rescue his family with the help of Alonzo who turned to be a good guy on the later part and put back Cruella back in prison.

A cool and a happy ending, this is what makes this movie really interesting to watch.  It’s fun and full of wits.  This movie also shows that sometimes, people never change.  Sometimes, people try to change for good but later on get back their old self creating more chaos along the way.  This film is highly recommended for young audiences though teen agers and adults won’t really enjoy this that much.

A video game designer Roger Dearly has a Dalmatian dog named Pongo.   One day while walking with his dog, Pongo tried to chase another Dalmatian named Perdy.  Roger knew that Perdy would be the love of life of his dog.  Unknowingly, the owner of Perdy also fell in love with Roger.  When the two got married, Pongo   and Perdy also had their vows.

Anita is a fashion designer who works for an obsessed smoker and fur lover named Cruella de Vil.  Anita is so inspired by their dogs so she designed a coat that matches the spots of a Dalmatian.  Cruella liked the design and will do anything just to get the right fur for the coat.  She learned that Anita’s dog gave birth to fifteen puppies so she offered Anita a decent amount of money for the dogs.  Anita refused and it drove Cruella mad.

Cruella now obsessed on getting the puppies ordered her henchmen to steal the dogs from Anita and deliver it to her old country estate.  On this building, a lot of other Dalmatian has been imprisoned as well.  With the help of the other animals and the rest of the dogs, the puppies outwit the bad guys and escaped.  Not ready to give up, Cruella arrived but was kicked to a mud and molasses.  Cruella was arrested.  Roger and Anita adopted all the Dalmatian Cruella had stolen bringing the total of 101 Dalmatians.

This movie is an old movie but is still fun to watch especially for kids.  Teenagers won’t enjoy this movie that much as well as the adults but if you’re up for a movie with a lot of good moral lessonS to learn, then this movie is for you.  The only thing that the parents need to guide the children is the smoking habits of Cruella.

Homeward Bound II: Lost in San Francisco

Three years has passed since the journey in the woods happened.  Now the owner of Chance, Shadow and Sassy decided to take a trip into Canada.   While in the LA Airport, Chance panicked and broke free from his carrier.  This allowed Sassy and Shadow to escape and elude the airport authorities as well.

After the airport incident, they found themselves in the city of San Francisco on the other side of the bridge from home.  While trying to find their way home, Chance bumped to a Boxer called Aschan.  The boxer got annoyed and got into fight with Shadow.  Luckily, Riley and his gang rescued them but Chance got away so Riley instructed Delilah to follow Chance.

Delilah found Chance and they fell in love.  On the story, Shadow and Sassy was able to rescue a boy named Tucker and his cat from a blazing fire.  After that Chance got caught by the people from the “Blood Red Van” and was rescued by Riley and the gang for the second time.  Riley changed his mind and decided to take Chance, Shadow and Sassy to the Golden Bridge.  After crossing the bridge, the three animals were found by their owners along the road and Delilah joined them later after Bob agreed that she can stay.
This movie is highly recommended for young kids.  There is nothing in this movie that promotes violence and other things that are not good for young children.  Though the movie is quite old already, it is still good to watch together with the family.  The target audience of this movie is 4-8 years old.

Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey

This is the story of the three animals whose journey began when they thought that their owners abandoned them.   Chance, Shadow, and Sassy decided to follow their owners and began heading towards the rocky mountainous wilderness.  Shadow led the group in the woodlands.  They spent their first night in woodlands in fear.  On their journey, they encountered a lot of challenges.  They ran away from bears, crossed rivers where Sassy almost drowned, and outsmart a Lion.

The three animals also met Molly, a little girl who got lost in the woods.  They guarded here and protected her until the rescuer found them.   Thinking that they are going to be impounded, they tried to escape from the rescuers unfortunately Shadow got caught.  Sassy freed Shadow from the shelter and took off not knowing that their owners are on their way to get them.  Finally they have found their way to get back from their owners.

On this film, we can see the loyalty of the animals to their owner.   The heartwarming journey will surely be enjoyed by young kids and parents alike.  Though this is an old movie, most pet lovers will still be entrapped by the message it delivers.
