Men in Black III

Boris the animal escaped from the maximum security prison from the moon.  He went back in time to eliminate the person who was responsible for his capture – Agent K.  Agent J noticed the connection between Boris and Agent K.   Later on he learned that K was a key person in deploying the ArcNet defense system which led to Boglite’s race extinction.  Boris went back to past and worked with his old self to kill agent K.

Agent J followed Boris in the past when the ArcNet is not yet in place.  The old agent K mistrusts Agent J at the start but changed his mind later on.  They tracked down an alien named Griffin who can see multiple futures.  Boris kidnapped Griffin and the two agents tried to chase him and were able to get Griffin back.  They ended up in Cape Canaveral in Florida where Apollo 11 is preparing to take off.

While in the vicinity near the launch pad, they were stopped by a Colonel.  Griffin used his abilities to persuade the Colonel and took them up to the rocket.  The old and new Boris attacked the agents.  Agent J killed the new Boris and agent K killed the old Boris.  K deployed the ArcNet on the tip of the rocket before the launched.  The Colonel on the other hand was ambushed by Boris before he got annihilated by K.  The Colonel had a son which J realized it was his younger version and the Colonel was his father.  Agent K became his surrogate father.

According to the other reviews, this episode of the MIB got the highest rating.  Others find it more amusing and the story makes more sense than the previous one.   It still has some bits and pieces of wits and funny moments which does take away and made the boring parts negligible.  It was fun and more entertaining which will definitely get the attention of the children and teenagers alike.

Men in Black II

After Agent K retired from MIB, Agent J did not have a permanent partner.  Nobody has lived up to the standards of Agent J.   Agent K now works as a postmaster in Truro, Massachusetts.   While on routine investigation, Agent J discovered that a Kylothian Queen who destroyed several planets is now on earth disguised as lingerie model.  Her true form is a plant-like hydra.  Agent J must now restore the memory of Agent J and convince him to join the MIB again to stop the Kylothian Queen.

J tried to deneuralyze Agent K but was able to retrieve some of his memories only.   Serleena the Kylothian Queen breaks into the MIB headquarters and locked it down.   Agent J and K escaped the lock down by being flushed down the toilet.  Serleena is seeking the “Light of Zartha” which she believes is still on earth.  Meanwhile Agent K finally recalled where the light was hidden and he also remembered that they tricked Serleena decades ago when he was still younger to hide the Light of Zartha from her.

Back on the MIB headquarters, Serleena freed the most notorious enemy of the MIB the henchman.  Serleena thought that the light was in the bracelet of Laura, so she kidnapped her.  Agent J and K together with the worm guys joined forces to take back and control the MIB headquarters.  The MIB was successful in saving Laura’s life which later they discovered that she was K’s daughter.  Laura left earth and went back to her home world Zartha.

This episode of MIB is a bit more exciting than the previous one.  Though it lacks freshness and just recycled most of the elements from the previous MIB, it is still an action packed sci-fi movie.   The comedy on this film is a bit retro just like the previous MIB but overall it is still worth watching especially if you’re up to movie sequels.

Men in Black (MIB) is a secret non-government agency that creates policy for extraterrestrial aliens migrating to earth.  Agent K is one of the MIB operatives whose partner Agent D felt tired and too old for the job.  He then asked K to neuralize him for retirement.  Agent Zed, the MIB head recommended that K should find a new partner in replacement of agent D.

James Darell Edwards III on the other hand is a police rookie who was trying to capture a man but the man turned out to be an alien.  K neuralizes James but left him an MIB business card.  James then competes with the other potential recruits but he excelled on the exams so James was chosen to become M IB operative known as Agent J.

One day, agent K investigates a farmer whose actions are a bit odd.  He then learned that the farmer has been killed and the skin was used as a cover for an alien bug who is at war with other alien race especially the Arquillians.  An MIB informant dressed as a dog explained that the bug is looking for a galaxy which is a source of a sub atomic energy which is enclosed in a Marble hanging on a cat’s collar.  In the end, Agent J and K defeated the bug and secured the earth for Arquillians.

This story will surely be enjoyed by kids.   The movie is too comical for most teenagers so they won’t enjoy it as much as the little kids do.  It’s a bit cartoonish for adults but an action packed movie.  The good thing about this movie is that they featured great actors such as Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones.  It took away the boringness of the movie.  It’s like an old school movie that tried its best to be modern.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon

A Cybertronian spacecraft carrying a weapon capable of ending the war between the Autobots and the Decepticons escaped Cybertron.  The ship crash landed on the dark side of the moon and was detected by the humans.  The US government was the first to send an investigating team which was also the first mission to the moon.  Back on the present day, Sam is frustrated because he cannot work with the Autobots and he cannot find a job.  In addition to that, he’s jealous of his girlfriend’s boss.

When Sam finally found a job, his eccentric colleague Jerry Wang tried to warn him but Megatron already ordered a hit on those who knew about the space mission.  Sam also discovered that the Decepticons have hundreds of pillars while the Autobots have five.  He also learned that the Sentinel is the key in activating the pillars.  Later on the story, the Sentinel killed Iron Hide which is not known to the Autobots.  The Sentinel managed to transports hundreds of Decepticons to Earth which enabled them to invade the whole Chicago.

The Autobots escaped the exile which was actually an ambush.  They returned secretly to Chicago and waged war against the Decepticons.  With the aid of the NEST and other special forces, they were able to defeat the Decepticons but it killed Que (Autobots Scientist) on the process.  When Sentinel was about to kill Optimus, Megatron shot the Sentinel.  Optimus then killed Megatron then the Sentinel.   The pillars were destroyed along with it the Cybertron.

Among the three Transformers, this has the longest running battle.  It was a great movie with almost zero boring part.  The first and the second Transformers were extraordinary but this Transformer is outstanding.   Michael Bay really had some thought on the Transformer and all of the three episodes really earned well.  Though the Cybertron was destroyed and the existing villains were all slain, the Transformer fans are hoping for a fourth episode.

Tranformers: Revenge of the Fallen

Thirteen Primes travel the galaxy to harvest sun energy thousands of years ago.  They don’t destroy a sun if one of its planets has a life.  One of them defied this law and was named The Fallen.  On the present day, the Autobots are now working with humans’ secret group called NEST and they got a warning from one of the Decepticons that was slain in Shanghai operation.   The Decepticons on the other hand found where Megatron was laid to rest.

The remaining pieces of the Allspark were stolen by the Decepticons and revived Megatron.  After getting raised from the dead, he then reunited with the Fallen.  Another Allspark shard was with Sam and it channeled images of Cybertronian symbols.  Sam went to college where he met Leo and Alice (a Decepticon shape shifter).   Sam managed to kill Alice but he was captured by the Decepticons.  Sam was rescued by Optimus at the cost of his life.  Sam went to Simmons for a help to translate the images he sees.  Here they discovered that Jetfire is still alive and helped them interpret the images for Sam.

Agent Simmons, Sam, Mikaela and Leo went to Petra and discovered the Tomb of the Primes and found the matrix but it turned into dust.  Sam tried bringing the remnants of the Matrix to Optimus but they were attacked by the Decepticons along the way.  Sam almost died on this attack but he was able to revive Optimus.  Jetfire gave Optimus his life to give him extra power and defeated the Decepticons.  He crippled Megatron and killed the Fallen.

If you liked the first Transformers, there is no doubt you will like this better.  It’s an action packed movie and children aging from six onwards will surely enjoy this film.  Galloway was annoying but it was hilarious when he got dropped on some random Egyptian Desert.  The movie was really good and is really worth watching.  If you’re a fan of Transformers, you will definitely watch this film several times over.

Transformers

A war was waged between Autobots and Decepticons in a planet called Cybertron. The war extended for years until the Autobots managed to smuggle the Allspark out of Cybertron.  After knowing that the Allspark now is in Earth, Megatron decided to track it but because of his carelessness, he fell into the Arctic Circle freezing him for decades.  Archibald Witwicky discovered Megatron and he accidentally triggered Megatron to engrave the location of the Allspark on Witwicky’s glasses.

On the present day, Sam Witwicky is selling the things that Archibald left in the world online including the glasses which gives the location of the Allspark.   Both the Autobots and Decepticons learned about this and started rallying their allies on earth.  Dame came in contact with the Autobots.  Meanwhile, Blackout tried to hack the US base in Qatar and Frenzy tried hacking the Air Force 1.  Frenzy was picked up by barricade and went after Sam to extract the information from him, and then kill him.

Sam and Mikaela became friends along the way and the Autobots assisted them and protected them so they can’t be captured by the Decepticons.   Unfortunately, the government is also after them and they were captured including Bumble Bee.  The Decepticons located the Allspark where Sam was taken and the rest of the Decepticons were rallied and attacked the US secret base.  The Autobots managed to get the Allspark to Los Angeles and the battle ended there.   Sam inserted the cube to Megatron’s chest and killed him.  Megatron’s body was dumped into Laurentian Abyss.

This was a very exciting movie for those who were born on the 80’s.  It is like a dream come true.  Transformers is finally on film and not cartoons.  This movie doesn’t have dull moments at all.  Surely kids enjoyed this movie but the adults enjoyed it better.   The effects and storyline is remarkable.  For me this is one of the greatest movies ever created so far.  Michael Bay did a very good job on this film.

Peter Parker is trying to figure out pieces of his history as a person.  He is trying to find out how his parents died leaving him as an orphan.  He discovered his father’s documents and found out that that he has been working with Dr. Curt Connors at Oscorp Corp.  He tried to meet with Dr. Connors unfortunately he was recognized at the lab by his crush Gwen Stacy.   Peter took advantage of this and used Gwen to break into the lab and he was bitten by a genetically engineered spider.

This version of Spider-Man is a bit different from the previous one.   The story was good but it lacks action.  This movie was just really intended for teenagers nothing more.  Personally, I like the movie but I wouldn’t want to watch it the second time.  I still find the previous Spider-Man more enjoyable and have more effects that this.  This is a good movie but the previous version is better.
